OCEANFRONT, BEST VIEWS ON ISLAND! (SPECIAL RATES FOR LONG TERM RENTERS)

This modern house offers 5 bedrooms+ extra loft bedroom. It has TWO MASTER SUITES with balconies overlooking the ocean and ensuite bathrooms. Bedroom 3 features a queen size bed, bedroom 4 features a full bed, bedroom 5 has a twin bed and there is a sleeping loft that sleeps 2. Bedrooms 3-5 share a common bathroom. Additionally there is a half bathroom in the home. Every bedroom has views of the ocean. The kitchen, dining room, living room and 2 bathrooms also have amazing views of the ocean. The modern artistic kitchen was recently remodeled and features the finest of teakwood cabinets, ornate granite and top grade stainless steel appliances. The large dining table was carved by a local artist from native mahoghany and tamarind wood and seats up to 10 people. The large granite bar adjacent seats an additional 4 guests. If you have a party, we also can arrange for an additional table to be set up by our caretaker.

The large deck off of the front of this house juts out over the ocean for views of tropical fish, rays and sea turtles. When you are sitting on the far side of the deck, it feels as if you are on your own private cruise ship. This house offers all the comforts and amenities of home including satellite tv, WiFi and laundry facilities. It is also a snorkeling and fishing paradise. Walk down the curved lane to the beach just a 2 min stroll. The beautiful beach is directly on the property.

The Point House is conveniently located 20 miles from the New Bight, Cat Island airport.

Western Air Bahamas flies almost daily between Nassau and Cat Island. We recommend arriving in Nassau approximately 2 hours before your flight departs for Cat Island.

Restaurants are close by. One is within walking distance and there are several other restaurants within 5-20 minutes drive that feature a mix of Bahamian cuisine and traditional American style food. If you don’t feel like going out, order takeout from the local restaurant and she will deliver to your oceanfront vacation rental. You can also order a meal to be ready upon your arrival so that you can sit back and have a cocktail and enjoy the view after a day of traveling.

The Point House is 1 mile from a small grocery store that has all of the necessities. The main grocery store is located a 20 minute drive from the house. Upon your arrival our caretaker will stop here for you to pick up supplies if you request.

One of the highlights of Cat Island is that out of the 700 Bahama islands, it is the island with the highest elevation which is Mt. Alvernia on Cat Island. A great day trip is driving 15 minutes to Mt. Alvernia and hiking to the top to see the amazing views on all side of the island. On top of Mt. Alvernia is a landmark known as “The Hermitage” which is a small monastery built in the early 1900’s by Father Jerome from England who lived as a hermit in this monastery until his death. After your hike up Mt. Alvernia, have lunch or dinner at The Blue Bird restaurant which features delicious Bahamian cuisine.

Other highlights are the “blue holes” on the center of the island that communicate with the ocean and numerous private white sand beaches. All are worth seeing.
